Winterizing Your Home

Hi Friends,

Do you decorate or change things around each season in your home? Personally I keep things relatively the same, except for Christmas (that's my favourite). Today though I wanted to talk about cozying your home up for those winter months.

Now that Christmas and New Years has come and past (which is sad to say). We are back into regular routine and I'm feeling a little less magical since I took down all the decorations. So to make it warm & cozy again, it's time to winterize.

We welcome 2015 with open arms and finally embrace that cold weather (and let me say brrrr). There hasn't been much of a snow fall yet, but it is only January.

I love the fresh snow fall and white winter blanket it leaves behind, it's so bright and welcoming. So when I think of winter I think of hot cocoa with LOTS of marshmallows and cozying up by the fire with fuzzy socks and a big blanket.

Winter whites, greys, metallic gold & silvers, fur, sparkle and anything knit says winter to me. What about you?

You can decorate as much or as little as you like. You can do a full make over and do each room in the home, or if you like it simple and easy try keeping it minimal. Keep in mind keeping it simple & functional will make it easier to change for each season. Which means less shopping but more saving. Only adding a few new items can change a space drastically!

Hope this inspired you to start winterizing your own home!

How do you fill that empty void after Christmas decorations are down?
