Good Lovely Morning friends!
I'm sorry about my hiatus last week but I am back ready to share a DIY project with you. I promised you a post on how I remade my bulletin board for my new "office" space! Well today is finally the day I tell you how and its actually super duper easy. So let's get to it shall we?
Supplies you'll need;
- Bulletin Board
- Washi Tape
Washi tape can be found at your local craft store & I believe Walmart sells it as well.
I really enjoyed this project because it took me about 20 minutes or so and I did it randomly one night after work. Yup it's that easy let me tell you.
First step; Take your board, washi tape and scissors and lay it out on the floor or table. Take your choice of tape and start taping around the edges. I used gold with navy & white stripped tape.
Second step; I took the gold tape and started taping around the edges of the board. Now because it will be hanging on the wall, I only taped the front & sides. I then took my navy tape and used 2 pieces to make thicker stripes and staggered them with spaces in between.
Now I did only eye ball it, but if your particular you can measure it out!! I was a bit on the tired (well if I'm being honest, lazy whoops! Did I say that?) side, so I took the easy way out. but you can do which ever works better for you.
Third step; I then took out my pack of pins, paper clips and larger paper clips, I bought on sale at my favourite store Chapters :) I thought they would be perfect with the navy and gold theme, plus the white would go perfect with my desk. Balanced everything out together.
Isn't it look great now? I love navy and gold together and it works well with the white new desk I bought. Love my new "office" area, now all I need is a chair!
Which happy news...I finally found one!!!!!! It needs a bit of TLC but I am really excited about this one, I promise to tell you about that soon ;)
There we have it! Now I can pin up my organizing printable's and any loose papers/pictures on a pretty board. Easy as pie right? I know, told you! I really love it, a super easy fix and now it looks like a brand new board.
Let me know if you try this one yourself and link it up in the comments below, I would love to see it!
Have you done an easy update recently? What colors would you have used?
I am doing a guest post coming up later this week over on Grown Up Glamour ,so stay tuned for that!
See all you lovelies next Wednesday :)
