Today I want to talk about Hanging art, because my friends this can be a challenge.
So now that I have FINALLY painting my room, YAY (don't worry a progress post will be up soon) now it's time to hang pieces back up and accessorize.
I am tackling a gallery wall but just hanging a piece of art or a picture is hard for me. I know I'm not alone on this one.
It's those move a little to the left, move it a little to the right, move a smidge down. OK PERFECT! Or darn, I have to move it the other way it's off center now. Next thing you know it's taken you an hour to get it perfect, or the picture is too small, great now what.
Even I have made many hanging picture mistakes. I hung 3 small art pieces that flowed together just because I liked them and wanted to use them. But once I hung them they were too high andWAY to small for the wall. I missed out on that whole scale thing, it happens.
But I have learned from that and want to share my knowledge to you! So you don't make the same mistakes as me and your hanging picture journey will run a lot smoother.
Make sure to watch the scale of your furniture & accessories in the room. This will help gauge which size of picture or what style to choose.
Doesn't hurt to try. Take a few pictures home or "pretend" hang them on the wall first, to make sure they work and you'll absolutely love them.
Tape where you want them to go. Tape and layout where you want them to hang, measure and make sure they are exactly where you want them. Then it's easy to make the nail mark and hang away!
Measure twice, cut once as the saying goes. Make sure to measure twice and nail once, the last thing you need is a bunch of holes in your freshly painted wall.
Let's me make this even easier!
I have a few diagrams here to show you the fastest and easiest way to hang your pictures & gallery walls, with ease.
