Hi my friends!
Have you struggled to create a space your able to concentrate, create, and work those long days in. With it flowing easily for you while being comfortable enough to get through your days?
Especially if you work from home (same goes for if you don't! With some restrictions of course) you want to create the right atmosphere to work in. May that be special touches, personal pictures, plants, diffuser etc. Whatever you choose make sure it makes you happy!
Well today I have Catherine here again to tell you just how to make your office run & look like the real deal.
So here goes!
If you spend a lot of time in your home office, you deserve to work in a space that’s beautiful and professional. A well-designed office will make even the most boring tasks more pleasurable and long work hours will be just a little bit easier. So, if you want to feel like a big shot, here are some design tips that will make your home office look like a top floor work-space worthy of a CEO.
Get rid of clutter
If you spend a lot of time in your home office, it’s normal that it gets overflowed with old documents, notes, office supplies, and personal items. However, all of that clutter will make your space look very unprofessional and cheap. So, make sure to keep your office clean and clutter-free. Remove all outdated documents, throw away old notes and keep your personal items to a minimum. A photo of your family and a few art pieces on the walls will be just enough.
Boost the lighting
When furnishing your home office, don’t always listen to your instincts and put your new desk right against the wall. This way, you’ll create a dark and cubicle-like atmosphere that doesn’t really scream luxury and quality. However, if you just move your desk closer to the window and invest in a good lamp and general lighting, you’ll create a much more pleasant, corner-office vibe. Natural light will positively affect your productivity, creativity, and mood, and ample artificial light will allow you to work some long hours.
Aim for comfort
If you love to put in the hours, you need to have a comfortable and ergonomic chair and desk. Don’t hesitate to splurge on these items, since they will not only make your work more pleasant, but also do wonders for your back and neck. Another thing every high-end office needs is a comfy sofa or soft armchairs. These will let you stretch out every once in a while, and provide your clients with a pleasant and homey feeling.
Plants have a very strong influence on human behavior. For instance, when we’re surrounded by greenery, we tend to feel relaxed, safe and focused. The color green is also associated with vitality and freshness, so it’s actually very good to introduce it into your office. So, put a few potted plants (preferably ones that purify the air) into your space and you’ll instantly create a more professional and healthy atmosphere that will benefit both you and your clients.
Create a peaceful atmosphere
Some people find it very hard to ignore their kids loudly playing, music from the living room or their neighbors mowing the lawn. If you’re one of those people, then you must invest in good office insulation. Proper sound insulation with acoustic panels will provide you with a quiet working environment and boost style with their elegant design. Also, buying a pair of noise-canceling headphones will let you achieve ultimate concentration while playing your favorite music.
If you want to seem professional and experienced, then you shouldn’t keep your files, documents and other work stuff scattered around your home office. Keep your desk organized with different cups and trays for pens, staples, mail, and files. If you work with a lot of printed paper, you might want to invest in a professional filing cabinet that will allow you to organize and archive all your important documents. Filing cabinets come in all sizes, shapes, and colors (they don’t have to be corporate gray) and they will certainly make your office seem like the real deal.

Some really pretty offices, I love that first one for inspiration. So bright, light and airy, definitely could get creative and get some work done in there.
Adding those special additions and touches to make it your own, will then make you feel even more comfortable and give you an excuse to be happy in that space all day. Especially if your a work at home lady or gent, those special touches really make all the difference.
