Hi Monday friends!
Today is a blog hop day! I have some home decor blogger friends and we're getting together today to do a one room spring tour or DIY. I wanted to bring some spring inside because considering the weather here in Canada. Which is not so spring like I definitely needed some happy in my life.
What's a better way then creating a spring shelf? A little bit of fresh blooms, a little floral print, a spring message and some plant life, nothing is better then that right?
I actually love creating different seasonal or holiday shelf's, it can be so fun and you can get pretty creative. So I guess I should hurry up and show you the mantle eh?
So pretty right!?
Those pastel purple tulips were the last bundle at the supermarket, and I just couldn't pass them up. Such a beautiful color am I right?
I also put some in these glass bottle's I picked up Sunday, now does that look great or what?! Here's a little sneak
I actually found the print on google and thought this was perfect. My favorite prints are with water colors so when I found this one I got excited. Plus finding it on Google & Pinterest is super budget friendly (woohoo!).
I have a thing for collecting vintage tea cups & saucers, and I thought this pink floral one would be great. I had this green ivy plant already and it seems to be doing somewhat well considering I am in a basement apartment. That box underneath is a recipe box, which was repurposed from an old cigar box. Lastly that blue letter L was a gift and I thought it brought the perfect touch of turquoise, don't you?
"Spring Showers brings May Flowers" I really like this spring saying so I had no choice, but to add that as the finishing touch on the chalk board.
Although I would make a few changes to the shelf. As in I would put the print on a brown clipboard instead of just on the wall. I think it turned out pretty well! What do you think?
So that's that!! How awesome is that project and the best part is....it was FREE! Best kind of project around I say.
What spring décor do you decorate with?
Hop on over and see the other posts from my blogger buddies, they turned out pretty inspiring.
As always thanks for reading! Like this posts? Please Share it!
